Support What Matters
Our kids matter. Our health matters. Our life matters. Take a moment and consider how you might help. Maybe you make a choice to eat better, to get outdoors every day, to turn off the TV, or spend more time with the family. Great!
Below are just some of the fine people who are of this thought, and are willing to support us in our goal. They support the notion that fitness should be fun, that today’s obesity rate is too high, and that we need to address today’s generations, with innovative tools. They support Rhythmatics with their posts, their emails, their wallets, their time. If you wish to support the goals of Rhythmatics, consider a donation. >> Help make a difference!

November, 2009 >> Google Android Development Challenge 2
This was our first outing into the world, and we wanted to see if people would take to it. I’m glad to report they did; while we didn’t take home a prize, or top honors, we placed 10th in the Lifestyle category -as there was not health nor fitness to compete in. We had a lot of great comments from the challenge, and it pushed us forward to extend our prototype.
September, 2010 >> Lets Move! Apps for Health Kids Contest
Nearly a year later, and a bit more thought put into things, we stumbled upon the Let’s Move! campaign, supported by First Lady Michelle Obama, through the USDA. At this point, we had something a bit more tangible, and so we took the plunge. While, again, not taking top honors, nor wining any prizes, we did take 2nd in the popular game vote, accumulating over 1900 votes of support from individuals who want to see us succeed. Why you can’t tell from their website, or sort projects by popularity? -we have no idea, so be sure to ask them.
October, 2010 >> Health 2.0 Move Your App! Developer Challenge
Soon after, we got another bit of good news. We placed 3rd in a Health 2.0 Challenge sponsored by Catch.com and Hopelab.org. We were delighted to hear that they found our project compelling, stating some wonderful things:
It is rare to open a mobile app and be immediately drawn to just how pretty it is…. the in-app details of the pulsating artwork and percentage help encourage you to keep going. The soundtrack being great helps too.
